The fact that you can change from one implementation to other is a fact of the quality of JSF standard spec. Gonna test this again later and post an update if i can fix by upgrading mojarra libs. So you should learn and be able to switch between the JSF implementations in case something goes wrong.
If you were already using MyFaces, just stick to it unless you encounter a heavy MyFaces-specific bug which doesn't manifest 20.2 Mojarra.
