Every time Origin Installs, my game starts to crash so I ece been able to do Sims 3 to the fullest extent of origins. You could be able to click on the Install Error in the status portion of the program to get more information about the exact error.

I get an install error when trying to update the patches. I started Patch Downloader again to see if everything worked.

Did you install them to drive D or did you install to drive C and move them to drive D? Currently, it is set up to go for manifest 14 which is 1.
